Flea, tick and worm treatment
FRONTLINE COMBO for Cats is a licensed flea treatment that also protects against ticks and lice. It is applied as a spot-on. For broader protection in one monthly dose, NexGard COMBO for Cats is another licensed spot-on that also treats ear mites and several types of worms. Many people use this as an alternative to giving separate worming tablets.
Pain and inflammation
Metacam Oral Suspension for Cats (meloxicam) is licensed to help reduce pain and inflammation. Give it by mouth at the lowest effective dose, as your vet advises. Always ask your vet how long your cat should use this medicine.
Heart and diabetes
Furosemide (Frusemide) 20mg is a diuretic tablet that helps manage fluid retention in cats with congestive heart failure. Senvelgo is a once-daily oral solution for managing diabetes in cats that have not been treated with insulin before, if your vet recommends it.
Infections
Synulox Palatable Tablets contain amoxicillin and clavulanic acid and are licensed to treat bacterial infections in dogs and cats, as prescribed by your vet. All prescription cat medicines require a valid, current prescription. You can upload your prescription at checkout, and we will dispense your order.

Can I give my cat Metacam long-term for arthritis?
You can use Metacam Oral Suspension for Cats long-term for chronic musculoskeletal problems at the lowest effective dose, but this depends on your cat’s health. Your vet will usually check kidney function with blood tests before and during long-term NSAID use.
Is Furosemide safe for cats with kidney disease?
Furosemide is often prescribed for cats with heart problems, even if they also have kidney disease. However, diuretics can affect hydration and kidney function, so your vet needs to monitor the dose carefully. Never change the dose without your vet’s advice.
Does NexGard COMBO for Cats protect against worms, or just fleas and ticks?
NexGard COMBO is licensed to treat fleas, ticks, ear mites, and several types of worms. Check the product leaflet to see exactly which worms it covers, as this can be different from flea-only treatments.
Can indoor cats skip flea and worm treatment?
Indoor cats are at lower risk, but they are not completely safe. Fleas and some worm eggs can be brought inside on shoes, clothing, or by other pets. Vets usually recommend regular preventative treatment for indoor cats, and your vet can advise how often to treat them.

In the UK, most repeat prescriptions for POM-V medicines are valid for up to 6 months from the date your vet issues them. You can order multiple times within this period if your vet has authorised repeats.
For controlled medicines (Schedule 2 or 3), the prescription is valid for 28 days only and cannot be repeated. These medicines are strictly regulated due to their potential for misuse.
