Note: We don't stock the 2.5mg chewable tablets. If your dog's prescription is for 2.5mg, ask your vet whether it can be written as two 1.25mg tablets instead. We can only dispense exactly what the prescription states.

What is Vetmedin used for?
Congestive heart failure caused by dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) or leaking heart valves. It's also licensed for some early stages of heart disease, before symptoms appear. Your vet will confirm whether it suits your dog.
How does Vetmedin work?
Vetmedin is an inodilator. It increases the force of the heart's contractions and widens both the arteries and the veins.
Do I need a prescription?
Yes. Vetmedin is POM-V and can only be supplied against a prescription from a UK-registered vet.
Which form and strength is right for my dog?
Your vet decides, based on your dog's weight and condition. Give it exactly as the label and your vet direct.
