When you administer Metacam Suspension 0.5 mg/ml to your cat or guinea pig, it helps improve comfort, mobility, and overall quality of life by managing pain and inflammation. It is the UK’s most prescribed treatment for pain and inflammation in cats and guinea pigs (MAT value, Kynetec, March 2025).
The suspension has a tasty honey flavour and can be given mixed with food or directly into the mouth.
For cats with a body weight of at least 2kg, the suspension is administered using the measuring syringe provided in the box.
Alternatively, for cats of any body weight, the drop dispenser of the bottle can be used. A small container
e.g. a teaspoon and a standard 1ml syringe can be used for guinea pigs.
