**Metacam (meloxicam) 1.5mg/ml oral suspension for dogs**

Metacam for dogs is an oral suspension formulated with 1.5mg/ml meloxicam, the active drug in this liquid medicine. Meloxicam belongs to the non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) class, in the oxicam group. It works by blocking the production of prostaglandins, the chemical messengers the body releases that drive inflammation and pain.

Meloxicam 1.5mg/ml for dogs is licensed for use in acute and chronic musculoskeletal disorders. Each ml holds 1.5mg of meloxicam, equal to 0.05mg per drop. It is a prescription-only veterinary medicine (POM-V), and we dispense it against a valid prescription from your vet.

Metacam oral suspension for dogs is available from Ashcroft 4 Pets with a written prescription from your vet. As a POM-V medicine, it can’t be supplied without one. We’ll dispatch it as soon as your prescription has been received.

An improvement is normally seen within 3 to 4 days. If nothing has changed after 10 days, stop treatment and speak to your vet.
