Corvental-D capsules contain theophylline, a medicine from the same family as caffeine. Your vet may prescribe Corvental-D if your dog has bronchitis (inflamed airways) or congestive heart failure (when the heart struggles to pump blood around the body).

Each strength looks different. The 100mg capsule is blue and white, marked “Th100”. The 200mg is green, marked “Th200”, and the 500mg is a longer green capsule marked “Th500”.

**Additional information**

- Do not use in dogs with a history of seizures.
- Do not use alongside beta-sympathomimetic medicines.
- Inform your vet if your dog has liver disease or is pregnant.
- Some antibiotics (such as enrofloxacin and erythromycin) and seizure medicines (such as phenobarbitone) may alter theophylline levels. Inform your vet of all medications your dog takes.
- Inform your vet before any anaesthetic is administered.
- If a person accidentally swallows a capsule, seek medical advice and present the leaflet.
