**Credelio Chewable Tablets for Dogs**

Credelio for dogs is a monthly chewable tablet made by Elanco. Each tablet contains lotilaner, which kills fleas, ticks and some mites once they start feeding on your dog. The tablets are round and meat flavoured.

Credelio is prescribed for dogs and puppies to:

- treat flea infestations
- treat tick infestations
- reduce the risk of babesiosis (a tick-borne blood infection) spread by the Dermacentor reticulatus tick, for one month
- treat demodectic mange (demodicosis)
- treat sarcoptic mange
- help control flea allergy dermatitis (an itchy skin reaction to flea bites), as part of a wider plan from your vet

One dose keeps killing fleas and ticks for a month. Fleas already on your dog are killed within 6 hours, and Ixodes ricinus ticks already attached within 8 hours.

Credelio 56mg is typically prescribed for dogs 1.3kg to 2.5kg, 112mg for over 2.5kg to 5.5kg, 225mg for over 5.5kg to 11kg, 450mg for over 11kg to 22kg and 900mg for over 22kg to 45kg.

Key warnings:

- For dogs and puppies from 8 weeks old and at least 1.3kg
- Not for dogs allergic to lotilaner or any other ingredient
- Safety has not been established in pregnant, nursing or breeding dogs
- Fleas and ticks must start feeding to be killed, so the spread of parasite-borne disease cannot be fully ruled out
- Wash your hands after handling. If a person swallows a tablet, seek medical advice and show the leaflet
