**Credelio Chewable Tablets for Cats**

Credelio for cats is a monthly chewable tablet made by Elanco. Each tablet contains lotilaner, which kills fleas and ticks once they start feeding on your cat. The tablets are small, round and flavoured.

Credelio is prescribed for cats and kittens to:

- treat flea infestations
- treat tick infestations
- help control flea allergy dermatitis (an itchy skin reaction to flea bites), as part of a wider plan from your vet

One dose keeps killing fleas and ticks for a month. Fleas already on your cat are killed within 8 hours, and ticks already attached within 18 hours.

Credelio 12mg is typically prescribed for cats 0.5kg to 2kg, and Credelio 48mg for cats over 2kg to 8kg.

Key warnings:

- For cats and kittens from 8 weeks old and at least 0.5kg
- Not recommended for ticks in kittens aged 5 months or younger
- Not for cats allergic to lotilaner or any other ingredient
- Safety has not been established in pregnant, nursing or breeding cats
- Fleas and ticks must start feeding to be killed, so the spread of parasite-borne disease cannot be fully ruled out
